The Silva opened in March 2026. This fall, Alys Beach's calendar puts events there for the first time. Two Alys Beach Crafted events are booked at The Summerhouse in November, and the year's last movie night is set there in late December. Until now, the town's fall calendar ran through the same set of places near the Gulf: Caliza, the Amphitheatre, Central Park, Papilio Park and North Sea Garden Walk. Now part of it runs at the forest edge, at a venue most of the public can't use on an ordinary day.
Seven Months In
The Silva sits on the northwest edge of town in the Phase 4 GG Block neighborhood, between the longleaf pine forest and the Nature Preserve. Hart Howerton designed it. It has The Summerhouse, a conditioned event pavilion with a lawn, plus an open-air restaurant and bar with a Southern-inspired menu and a winding pool. The town describes it as a private amenity for Alys Beach homeowners and vacation rental guests.
The Silva quietly opened in March and had its grand opening on Saturday, May 2. That was the same day as the Derby Party and The Varian Showcase. The Spring 2026 issue of Alys Insider described the opening period this way:
"This new addition to our amenities collection has been very well received by our Alys Beach homeowners and vacation rental guests."
VIE Magazine's July issue made a bigger point. With The Silva finished, Alys Beach has completed its set of luxury amenities. The Silva joins Caliza Pool, the ZUMA Wellness Center, the homeowner-only Beach Club, and the town's parks and paths. No more amenities are planned, so the venues that host fall events now are the full set.
Crafted Adds a Venue
Alys Beach Crafted runs November 11 to 15, 2026. In 2024, the festival held its experiential dinners at Papilio Park and the Red Loggia at Caliza. The rest of that year's events were in Central Park, along North Sea Garden Walk, at ZUMA and in the Amphitheatre. The 2025 festival used the Red Loggia, Fonville Press Market + Café, Papilio Park and the Amphitheatre. Neither year used The Silva, since it hadn't opened yet.
This year, it hosts two events.
The first is one of three Experiential Dinners on Thursday, November 12. All three start at 5 p.m.
- The Summerhouse at The Silva. Chef Drew Dzejak and the Alys Beach Culinary team cook a multi-course dinner paired with wines from Menagerie. The room will be hung with David Yarrow's photography.
- Red Loggia at Caliza. Birmingham chef Rob McDaniel of Helen and Bayonet serves a family-style, multi-course dinner built on Southern cooking and live-fire techniques. José Medina Camacho of Adiós Bar and Salud Birmingham makes cocktails with Foursquare Rum Distillery spirits.
- George's at Alys Beach. Chef Camille Withall prepares a multi-course dinner of Gulf ingredients with global influences. Nicole Greenwell of Pearl & Horn pours cocktails from the Brown-Forman portfolio.
The second is Cocktails & Clay on Friday, November 13, at The Summerhouse. The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County leads the workshop, and local ceramicist Sarah Bumanglag shows guests how to make two clay vessels. The pieces are later glazed and kiln-fired professionally. The festival schedule and the 30A preview both list it at 2:30 p.m. Friday. The event's own page also gives Saturday, November 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. Check the time on your ticket before you plan your Friday around it.
Since both events are at The Summerhouse, the conditioned pavilion is doing the work here. The pool and restaurant are not part of either one.
The Rest of Crafted Stays Close to the Gulf
The Silva adds two events, but most of the festival happens at its usual venues. Here's the rest of the week.
- Wednesday, November 11: The 30A Songwriters Session opens the week at the Red Loggia at Caliza. The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County presents it, and a singer-songwriter plays songs and tells the stories behind them over drinks and light bites.
- Friday, November 13: The Holiday Makers Market opens at the Amphitheatre from 2 to 4:30 p.m. That evening, the 6th annual Firkin Fête starts at 6:30 p.m. in Central Park, with firkin beers from local and regional breweries, food from chefs across the Southeast, and live music by Scott T. Smith.
- Saturday, November 14: The Spirited Soirée is on North Sea Garden Walk from 1 to 4 p.m., a progressive tasting of craft cocktails and spirits with the makers on hand.
- Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15: The Makers Market runs again from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Santa is there for photos from noon to 2 p.m. both days.
Friday is the only day the festival uses both ends of town. Cocktails & Clay at The Summerhouse, if it does run at 2:30 p.m., overlaps the first Makers Market at the Amphitheatre. Then Firkin Fête starts in Central Park that evening. So Friday's plan is mostly about the walk between the two ends of town.
Town Center's New Restaurant Has Its First Fall
The newest place on the Gulf end opened four months before Crafted. Indaco opened on July 2, 2026, at 40 Mark Twain Lane, Suite 101. WJHG reported that the general manager is Elizabeth Mathis and the executive chef is Dakota Watson, and that the restaurant focuses on seafood and wood-fired pizza.
Indaco's location page lists these hours:
- Dinner: daily, 4 to 10 p.m.
- Lunch: weekdays, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Brunch: weekends, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Aperitivo: daily, 2:30 to 4 p.m.
That daily 2:30 to 4 p.m. aperitivo hour lines up with Crafted's Friday afternoon. Indaco is on the Town Center side, so it's close to the Amphitheatre and Central Park.
One more opening is coming to Town Center. Rowan, a California apparel brand, lists its Alys Beach store as "Coming October 2026." The town's merchant directory gives the address as 11 North Castle Harbour Drive, Units 6 and 7, and says "Opening Fall 2026." VIE expected a summer opening back in June, so the date has already moved once. No firm opening day has been announced.
Alo Yoga is already open at 27 Admiralty Row, Suite R101, daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. On October 9, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., Alo moves outdoors to the Alys Beach Amphitheatre for "Alo in Motion: A Fall Wellness Event." Tickets are $20. The morning starts with Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew from Fonville Press, followed by a 45-minute mat Pilates class with Kelli Bohn and an Alo fashion presentation. Bring your own mat.
October Through New Year's, by Place
Here's the rest of the season, from now through the end of December. Each item lists where it happens and whether the town calls it public.
- October 22 to 25: Garden & Gun Society and Friends Gathering. Four days of dinners, talks, tours, outdoor outings and live music.
- October 23, 4 to 6 p.m.: Trick-or-treating in Town Center. Free, hosted by the merchants.
- November 11 to 15: Alys Beach Crafted. Two events at The Summerhouse; everything else is on the Gulf end of town.
- November 27, 4 to 6:30 p.m.: Alys in Winter Wonderland. Free and open to the public. A holiday concert starts at 4 p.m., and the tree is lit with Santa at 6:30 p.m.
- December 27: Foundation Gala in Central Park. More details are coming.
- December 29, 6 to 9 p.m.: Alys Classics at The Silva. A movie and picnic night. The title and other details haven't been released yet.
- December 31, 10 a.m. to noon: Noon Year's Eve Party. Free and public, with music, bubble machines, an inflatable snow globe, crafts and face painting.
On the town's calendar listings, the December 29 movie night is the only fall date at The Silva tagged both "Public" and "Family-Friendly." That listing was created last December, so check it again closer to the date. If it holds, December 29 is the one night this fall when anyone can bring a blanket to the lawn by the Nature Preserve and see the new venue without owning or renting a home in Alys Beach.
If you're planning a Thanksgiving week or a December stay around The Silva's first holiday season, Sold in Paradise can tell you how its owner and rental-guest access fits with the calendar above. Book a free 30A market consultation to talk it through.
